I created this table for a clients beach home. They wanted a low profile table inspired by the surf. I chose to give it a sharp look by making it thick enough to cut a deep bevel creating the illusion it is thinner than it is. In profile, it reminds me of a Japanese torii gate. There was an old Lane Cedar Hope Chest my grandmother got for her wedding. We held onto it for years, but eventually no one in the family had space for it. So I decide to transform the chest into something my parents could use. a side table with storage, and I even kept the original bend. It is functional as well as beautiful. I was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's design aesthetic. This was my first big project in Rhino, I even figured out how to generate a cut list with a python extension.

I made this chair with leftover cedar from a fence project. I really like the proportion of the seat seams getting smaller as they reach the back of the seat. The wood was soft an light, although it does need a stabilizing brace across the bottom of the legs

Square tube steel cut into a "V" Shape to give maximum stability and leg room. 1/4-20 tapped screws on the bottom for feet and felt pads to protect the floor. Top is vertically laminated Baltic birch plywood with a beveled edge. Finished in black powder coat for the legs, and Polyurethane for the top.
One of my first projects out of school. I built this for a friend's synth collection, so he could display and practice. A budget build, but we made it work. plywood with acrylic wash faces. Finished in a spray lacqure.
